'May the Quilt Keep Us Warm' by Atoyia Pencil

What plans would you make if you found out that your time on Earth is limited to one year? May the Quilt Keep Us Warm is the emotional tale of a young, married woman, diagnosed with terminal cancer who makes a life-changing decision that will tremendously affect what little time she has left.

Atoyia Pencil works as a school nurse in a high school in NYC. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and currently lives there with her parents, grandparents and brother. She was diagnosed with Lupus upon her twentieth birthday and suffers from light sensitivity, chronic fatigue, general malaise, rashes and daily headaches. However, writing and constant support have helped her to face these daily challenges and keep going on.
